Creative Swiss Army Knife | Content Producer • Creative Director • Food Photographer • Tastemade Maker
Location: Los Angeles, California, United States

I’m Sergio-Cardenas a multidisciplinary visual communicator, creative director, and content producer passionate about crafting aesthetically pleasing visual languages for both the eyes and the palate. Based in Los Angeles, I bring a rare blend of culinary artistry and media production expertise to every project I touch.

After nearly a decade running United Front Design, a full-service creative agency I co-founded, I decided in 2016 to follow my lifelong love for food and earn a diploma in Culinary Arts from the Institute of Culinary Education. This transition allowed me to merge two major creative forces in my life: food and storytelling. Since then, I’ve had the opportunity to work alongside renowned chefs such as Neal Fraser (Redbird LA) and Walter & Margarita Manzke (République), gaining deep respect for the demanding and underappreciated work behind the hospitality industry.

My career in media spans a broad spectrum from creative direction and team leadership to producing 360° launch campaigns, social and digital content, OOH, motion graphics, and on-set production. I’ve directed talent, overseen post-production workflows, managed budgets, supervised VFX, and developed countless client relationships built on collaboration and trust. My leadership philosophy is rooted in respect, empathy, accountability, and empowerment guiding teams to deliver high-impact creative under budget and on time.

I approach every challenge with an entrepreneurial mindset, combining strategy, design, and storytelling to help clients meet their business goals. One of my most memorable projects was producing a series of digital music videos for Nick Jr., featuring whimsical finger puppets. That project Pinkie Pals became the most-watched content on their digital platform at launch, a true testament to the power of creative risk and thoughtful execution.

Today, my focus lies in developing content within the food media space, where I get to bring together decades of creative production with a deep love for culinary expression. Whether behind the camera, directing on set, or shaping the narrative of a food series, I strive to create content that not only looks good but resonates on a human level.

If you’re looking for a versatile, experienced creative partner with a passion for excellence and a deep appreciation for the collaborative process I’d love to connect and explore how we can bring your next project to life.
